Those of us in recovery have heard a lot of stories over the years. What makes this one especially eye-opening is the insight that Tim was able to glean into what the overdose crisis in America ultimately says about the church, society, and politics. Tim nearly lost his life in navigating the insidious progression of an opioid addiction that took him and his family by surprise, following surgery. In addition to Tim’s experience and insight, his expert research into the history of opioids, the science of addiction, the failings of U.S. policy, and the parallel experiences of our biblical forebears will leave you enlightened and inspired.
